Dr. Juanito S. Javier practices Orthopaedic Surgery in Manila. He is a specialist in Pediatric Orthopaedics and Limb Lengthening and Reconstruction using the Methods of Ilizarov.  At the moment, Dr. Javier is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopaedics, College of Medicine, University of the Philippines Manila. He is the head of the Ilizarov and Limb Deformity Unit and a member of the Pediatric Orthopaedic Section of the Department of Orthopaedics, Philippine General Hospital. He is also an active staff of the following hospitals in Manila, namely: Philippine Children’s Medical Center; Capitol Medical Center; and Cardinal Santos Medical Center. At present, he is the Founding President of the ASAMI- Philippines. Dr. Javier has obtained his medical degree in 1983 from the College of Medicine, University of the Philippines. He also obtained a Master in Orthopaedic Surgery (M.Ch.Orth.) in 1993 from the University of Liverpool.

He also has a B.S. Zoology (cum laude) degree from the College of Art sand Sciences, University of the Philippines.
