37 year old malay male involved with road traffic accident

Pre Op

Sustained severe Grade 3 open fracture tibia and fibula with extensive bone loss

Post Op

Initiialy had AO ext fixator followed by muscle flap done.Subsquently had bone transport done in tandem with Orthofix fixator

Post Op

Progress of bifocal bone transport in tandem

Follow Up

Immediate exchange nailing to unreamed nail four month later by retrograde route

Follow Up

Complete union of bone and fused ankle

Final Results

Happy patient with leg salvaged
