Fixed knee deformity in a 17 years old malaysian female

PAST HISTORY
bilateral patella Alta, with stiff knees, and a range of 30 degrees
1989 - Lt Quadriceps plasty was done, with good out come,knee range improved to 90 degrees
1991 - Rt Quadriceps plasty was done, with disaster, infection |

Pre Op

—septic arthritis---
multiple debriment, skin loss,
Tissue loss,patelectomy.
wound healed by secondary intention.
Ankylosis,set in.

PROBLEM
1. Fixed flexion deformity.
2. Poor skin, with scar tissue directly adherent
on to lower 2/3 of femur with no quadriceps
muscles.
3. Unsightly gait.
4. Shortening femur > tibia |

Opening wedge osteotomy through CORA hinge at the concave cortex
